Scoutreach is looking to hire part time Scout Leaders in Rockford

The Blackhawk Area Council, Boys Scouts of America, ScoutReach District is looking for a few employees to work the after-school programs. We work primarily with elementary students (1st grade through 5th grade). We go to more than 30 locations each week; you'll be assigned to a few of them each day.

Scoutbook Youth Advancement Sync

Calling all unit leaders—the Scoutbook Youth Advancement sync is officially underway! All Scouting units with active Scoutbook subscriptions have recently been invited to complete the Scoutbook Youth Advancement Sync with ScoutNet. The Scoutbook Unit Admins have been notified and given instructions on how to activate this sync by December 31, 2017.

Wanchanagi District Dinner April 22nd!

Do you know a fellow scouter or a member of your unit that goes above and beyond in everything they do for scouting? Then nominate them today! The awards nominations deadline is March 15th. Awards will be presented at the 2018 Wanchanagi District Dinner at 4 PM on Sunday, April 22nd.

BSA Membership Fee Increase

Effective with recharter deadlines in 2018 the Boy Scouts of America membership fee will be $33 a year for all registered youth and adult members. In addition, there will be an additional $1.00 added (at recharter time) for General Liability Insurance for Blackhawk Area Council Scouts only.

Spring 2018 Rockford IceHogs Scout Night

The Spring 2018 Rockford IceHogs Scout Night will be held on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018. Scouts who attend both games (Fall 2017 & Spring 2018 Scout nights) will receive a free ticket for March 23rd, 2018!!*

BSA Expands Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts Programs to Welcome Girls

The BSA's board of directors has unanimously approved welcoming girls into our Cub Scouts program and delivering a Scouting program for older girls that will enable them to advance and earn the highest rank of Eagle Scout.
