Loyola University Retreat and Ecology Campus Challenge Course
Loyola University Retreat and Ecology
Challenge Course Program
outside of Woodstock, the Loyola University Retreat and Ecology Campus (LUREC) challenge
course and team building program is available to scouts, school groups,
businesses looking for a unique group experience. We offer half, full and multi-day programs
that can incorporate our rock climbing/rappelling/team challenge tower, 2 high
ropes courses, 600’ zip-line, giant swing, 15 low ropes elements and extensive
woods for groups of 12 to over a 100.
Each program is customized to meet your goals for increasing cooperation
and teamwork, building confidence and leaderships skills, overcoming physical
challenges and developing bonds between scouts.
Half-day (3 to 4 hour morning or afternoon session)
A full day of programming time allows groups to move into
more complex activities and to include one of our high elements, thereby
offering more skill development and a greater transfer of knowledge to other
activities of the troop, school and home.
Multi-day (approximately 10 hours of programming over two days)
Add your own group activities during the evening hours and build
your challenge course program into a full retreat experience.
A full day of programming followed by a half-day program
offers plenty of time to add in a high ropes element while maintaining a robust
program progression that comprehensively explores leadership, problem solving,
goal setting, and effective communication skills.
