Kishwaukee Chapter Meetings for 2019-2020

Hello unit leaders!

It’s the beginning of the year, and amongst other things, it is our time to begin OA elections and training.  We have already conducted one training session at Roundtable and you can expect for training at RT again in February and March.  We will also conduct training sessions at our chapter gatherings in January/February/March.

For this month, our training will be held at Bowlero in Algonquin at 630PM on Thursday, Jan 23rd It will then follow up with bowling until 8ish – with final parent pickup at 830. The cost is $13.00

We are encouraging those attending training to really spend some time in brotherhood and fellowship by staying afterwards for a game or two of bowling.  We also ask that you encourage your OA brothers to attend.  We have some consistent and significant participation from troops where Scouting’s Honor Society is well represented and held in high regard as Crème of the Crop-something for duly elected members to be proud of.  Then there are some units that are like UFO’s when it comes to OA participation…we’ve heard that there are OA members in the unit, they are on a roster…but we never see them…just like a UFO.  How are you participating in OA?  Is your OA culture strong, vibrant and honorable?  Or, is it simply another patch on the flap of a pocket?

See you on the 23rd!
