Matching Gifts

Workplace Giving/Matching Gifts

Grow Your Support Through Your Time & Money

Many corporations match gifts made by their employees to the Boy Scouts. Some companies even give financial contributions on behalf of the time you give as a volunteer.

Listed below are some companies who have historically matched their employee's generosity. If you do not see your employer here, please don't assume they do not participate in the matching gifts program; check with your human resources department for more information. If you are unaware that your company participates in a matching program, go do your HR, Financial Department, or Employee Services Department to find out.

To get your gift/service hours matched please download the MATCHING GIFT LETTER and present it to your HR, Financial, or Employee Services Department.

Some information you may need to complete the match includes:

  • Council Name: Boy Scouts of America, Blackhawk Area Council
  • Address: 2820 McFarland Rd., Rockford, IL 61107
  • Phone: 815.397.0210
  • Contact our Accountant Email:  Stacey Dunphy @

The Official Vehicle Donating Program of the Boy Scouts of America

Donate a vehicle to your local BSA council, and the proceeds from its sale will support Councils in your area (note: due to IRS rules, donating to a specific Scout unit is not an option).

Help Grow Big Things With The Boy Scouts Of America

Donate to the Blackhawk Area Council and give young people the chance to have fun, gain confidence, and become leaders who live the Scout Oath and the Scout Law.

Financial resources for the Blackhawk Area Council come from an annual Friends of Scouting (FOS) campaign, local United Ways, foundation grants, special events, project sales, investment income, trust funds, bequests, gifts of real and personal property, and your direct financial contributions.

You can make a direct financial contribution to the Blackhawk Area Council online with your credit card or electronic check. There are several programs you can use as a contribution vehicle or you may just make a direct general FOS contribution.
